Are these 2 men out of jail? DO they hang around the friends in NE US anymore. I think they have professing relatives in New York and New Hampshire. Barry Barkley needs to be notified if either man is caught at Freedom, Altamont and/or Milford. Or anywhere else.

And shouldn't the report be made to the authorities if the law is being broken?

I also think Barry Barkley needs to be notified ASAP. If they have a long beard or hair, how many people would hardly recognize them? They could bring their parents to convention. This issue needs to be discussed in August when we get closer to the NE US conventions.

Did the court issue any restrictions following their release regarding their proximity to other people? Are they required to be supervised? Just wondering what you basis was for telling BB about their presence.

Darren is out of jail. He has been allowed at conventions since he was released from jail. Peter was also allowed at conventions and meeting until his last 2 convictions. He is still in jail. My 2 children went to meeting with GS a few weeks ago. What about convention owner that have allowed offenders on their property? They have certainly knew about Darren and Peter. Many parents did not know.
A few years ago at one NY convention there was a man there that had a restraining order against him for domestic abuse. His wife/ex-wife was at convention. Do you know what they did? They had different men shadow him instead of calling the authorities. Then the owner's son ask him to leave.

There will continue to be problems as long as people try to handle things like this instead of reporting them to the authorities. Of course, it depends on what the restraining order was. Perhaps it was no contact by phone. A 500 foot restraining order would be difficult to maintain on most convention grounds!

I ask all who attend Milford, Altamont or Freedom to report these men to the law if they set foot on any convention grounds in the "Kingdom". Barry Barkley and the convention owners must cooperate as well.

What law(s) would either have broken? any comments about the ethical consideration of reporting people to the law based only on your own feelings? Perhaps the owner could ask them to leave and then call the police for a trespassing charge if they refused.

any comments about the ethical consideration of reporting people to the law based only on your own feelings? *** Excuse me, but where did "my feelings" come into it?? These 2 men have been busted for CSA and locked up like a caged animal. Please don't make this issue about ME. Maybe you don't know about these 2 ex workers from MI who violated the trust of professing folks in Michigan. Both are from NE USA. My feelings isn't worth considering. Please do make this issue to be about MY FEELINGS> I find that expression to be too outlandish to even comment on. Perverts don't need to be around children-at least this soon after they have been charged with a horrible crime. Not Rational, IT IS NOT ABOUT ME and MY FEELINGS. These 2 men have caused so much damage to so many people.

any comments about the ethical consideration of reporting people to the law based only on your own feelings? *** Excuse me, but where did "my feelings" come into it?? You were the person who posted the rallying cry to call the law if these people set foot on a convention ground. It is your feeling that this is the thing to do. Clear?Yes, you can use that sort of language to make your point but many people have been convicted and locked up in a jail or prison. The issue is you calling for the modern-day vigilantes to call for the police without indicating why.So that translated to calling the police in NY? Again, what is the crime you are urging people to report? This is not a crime. Then why are you rallying people to call the police if they are spotted? Do you have any reason for this?I didn't read about anyone else urging people to call the police. You seem to feel this is the course of action to take. Yet you reached down deep and did comment. Still, without indicating why you are asking people to call the law. And, again, these are clearly your feelings. You are entitled to your strong feelings. And you may know some reason why their presence would be a criminal act. But so far you have only articulated your feelings regarding their behavior. So far, it has only been your feelings. And they have been convicted, served, or are serving, their sentences, and have been released with orders from the court regarding their behavior. Do you know if they are violating their court orders?

Without indicating why? Are you serious? Being locked up for molesting children is ENOUGH reasons they shouldn't be allowed around children. Especially given that there are lots of places on the grounds that aren't supervised such as walking trails. No, Rational, I cannot answer the last sentence. But you make it out like Messrs Briggs and Mousseau are as important than the children they molested. Rational, I find your responses to be plain disgusting. People who are silent to CSA are aiding such evil behavior. Rational, I know you are a better person than your posts indicate on this thread. Letters were written warning people about these 2 men and it is obvious that they have been on convention grounds since leaving Michigan. Barry Barkley needs to make sure these 2 don't get on convention grounds and molest more children. Child molestation is a horrible crime. If these 2 men are caught on the grounds, someone should physically remove them if needed. Trying to make pedophiles look like innocent men is SICK. SICK. SICK.

Yes, I am serious. A person convicted of a crime, sentenced, completes the sentence, and satisfies the structure put in place by the court following their release is not guilty and should not be reported to the police. Again, this is how you feel about it. You admit that you do not know the terms of release for either person yet you feel the need to rally people to call the police even though you cannot show how either has broken any law. What are the terms of their release? Can they be around children without supervision? Of course you can't. You are acting on your feelings and not facts. This is not about them being more or less anything. It is about you telling people to call the police on people who, as far as you know, are not breaking any laws. In fact, should you call the police to arrest them you might be the one breaking the law. Of course you do and I understand. You are coming at this from an emotional level without any facts to support your claim that one, or both, of these people have broken the law by attending a convention. This isn't being silent about CSA. It is defending people who have not broken a law from people, like yourself, who try to incite others to call the police when no crime has been committed. Actually, I am really close to what I post. I, for example, do not believe the police should be called for people who are not committing a crime. I also believe that if anyone molests or is suspected of molesting a child they should be reported directly to the authorities. I believe that people who cover up the activities of those who do molest children are also guilty.Warning or explaining that they have been caught and convicted? I do not know which letters you are referencing. (thanks for the URL OF THE LETTER - I failed to see the warning.)What makes you believe they will molest more children? Is it possible that the court has ordered provisions that would preclude ay such behavior? Yes it is. And we should strive to understand it and do everything possible to eliminate it. Again, what would be the grounds? Or do you believe people who commit a crime are forever guilty, even after having served their sentence? First of all, I do not believe either of the men you are discussing have been classified as pedophiles. But then, perhaps you know more about them than I do. And as far as trying to make them look like innocent men - that ship has sailed. They have been convicted of the crime. They were found guilty. But your effort to now paint them as guilty when they have not committed a crime and call the police, or encouraging others to call the police, brings your ethics into question. But I believe you are correct about one thing - PM is, according to the records available to the public, still a prisoner in MI. So if he were to be seen perhaps the law should be called. But this isn't why you thought the law should be called, is it.

Rational, you enjoy debating people and disagreeing with people. At least on TMB. But why should you entertain the notion that these men should be around children. They are sick individuals. Darren Briggs doesn't need to be wrestling little boys in the convention sleeping quarters. Rational, your defense of these 2 people makes me want to throw up!!

Rational, you enjoy debating people and disagreeing with people. At least on TMB. I am wondering why you just don't answer the question. You have advocated that anyone who sees either of these men on a convention ground should call the law. When people call the police what crime should they say that these men have committed? You are advocating vigilante justice. Asking people to act based on your feeling of what is right and not at all on the facts of whether any law is being broken. And you are right. I disagree that people should be reported to the police when they have not committed a crime. Do you think it is ethical to report someone to the police when they have not committed a crime but because you feel they should not be where they are?I didn't say these men should be around children. Let's not get into twisting things. I asked you if you thought it was ethical to call the police to report someone who was not breaking any law. They were tried and found guilty. I am not aware that either was found to be 'sick' although it is clear that you have made that judgement. And you are advocating that they be arrested because you have judged them as 'sick'. No he doesn't and I am not aware that anyone is saying he should ever have done so in the past, present, or future. Clarence Darrow once said: You can only protect your liberties in this world by protecting the other man's freedom. You can only be free if I am free. The only thing I am defending is the freedom of people who have not broken a law from being reported to the law. I am defending them from people who ignore the law and try to use the authorities, and rally others to assist them, to further their own personal feelings. It is the same mind set that resulted in the lynching of blacks or abuse of homosexuals. I do not think CSA should be tolerated. I feel the same regarding ignorance and bigotry. So, what crime have these people committed that would warrant a call to the police?

Wonder what these guys are looking for at conventions or expect from conventions ,considering that all the conventions and meetings they have been to before and didnt help them changing their ways do you think prison will do better than God ? An excellent question! Only time will tell although there is some data to supporting the fact that the recidivism rate for sex offenders is not as high as people believe. Wall Street Journal - how likely are sex offenders to repeat their crimes Some Facts and Fiction about sex offenders. An interesting note in the above link: Webster noted the Langevin sample was much larger at first. His team removed any people from the study whose criminal records had been lost or purged from the justice system after 15 years for lack of new crimes or charges. In effect, the scientists deleted most of the non-recidivists and thereby skewed the recidivism rate.(Emphasis added)Shows how bias can creep into well intentioned studies. Determining the recidivism rate is a thorny issue as illustrated by: www.csom.org/pubs/recidsexof.html

The safety of our children is too important to allow perverts to hang around convention grounds. In Florida a few years back, a man professed with AIDS. He wasn't allowed to attend Apopka FL convention. Ray Hoffman and John Deniker were looking out for the interests of the group. Why can't Darren Briggs and Peter Mousseau be told to get the heck off of the convention grounds. GET OFF, YOU PERVERTS!!!

The safety of our children is too important to allow perverts to hang around convention grounds. I wonder which presents a greater danger to children - the presence of a person who is known to have been convicted of a crime and has served their sentence or someone who is advocating vigilante justice? No, that is not what John and Ray were doing at all. They were responding irrationally to a non-threatening situation. In addition they were breaking the law. People with HIV/AIDS cannot be discriminated against and this was a clear case of discrimination. AIDS is not transmitted through sneezing, coughing, eating or drinking from common utensils, or merely being around an infected person. Casual contact with HIV infected persons does not place others at risk. AIDS is not transmitted through air, food, or water, or by touching any object handled, touched, or breathed on by a person with an HIV/AIDS infection. Exactly how were the workers protecting anyone and from what did they believe they were protecting people? They can be and, thanks to people like you, they probably will be discriminated against exactly like the person diagnosed with AIDS.

Since the judge is the one who lets them know what they can do or not, it is therefore, not out responsibility to question the law. If in fact they are to stay 1000 ft away from a school and from all children then I agree with you that they should not be allowed, because that is the law and one is suppose to obey the law of the land. However, if it is not the case then the only thing that can be done is to make the head worker aware of them being there and the parents responsibility to watch their kids not the workers. With that said once a pedophile always a pedophile according to psychology knowledge. The proven fact is they will do it again. However, to condemn them is wrong but to be absolutely like Jesus is to turn the cheek. My feelings is this if the judge states the particulars for their release then that is what we must follow. Not to get all hysterical about this if one is afraid then go to a different convention.

Protecting children is more important than giving people second chances. It wouldn't bother me if it was a special meeting in a bank conference room. Too much rural land to romp around. Attachments:

Marie ~ Having grown up in the Northeast and being familiar with the different convention grounds, it shocks me that known pedophiles are permitted on convention grounds at all. Also, GS, a former worker, who I remember from my youth, is still allowed in meeting after what he did within recent years in his home area and also in the past on convention grounds? Until those in charge of such gatherings get serious about keeping the offenders off the grounds, they are asking for more trouble down the road, IMHO? Apparently, they still don't take CSA serious enough to remove these people from their midst? www.votisalive.com/content/george-scandalis-ex-worker-married-0
