Reminds me of what I read earlier this week about not hiring atheists to fly their planes because 'who would want a pilot that didn't believe in hell' Ah! that is a great one!
Ps: Reminds me that I have to start a new thread coming up next on your favorite board! Don't miss it!
Except the thread isn't humorous.

Fair enough. But... two babies a day? Wouldn't one be enough?

Fair enough. But... two babies a day? Wouldn't one be enough? You need lots of protein to grow big muskles.

Good, but Emo Philips - Golden gate bridge (1987, official sub ita) does it a lot better

Exe - "That's a lot of rubbish. That's not what Jesus meant at all!" 2x2 - "So what DID Jesus mean?" Exe - "Jesus Christ! You don't believe in that myth, do you?!"

"Eve Was Framed" was one of my first "Consciousness Raising" moments! Many years ago.

What Religion is Your Bra?A man walked into the ladies department of a Macy 's and shyly walked up to the woman behind the counter and said, "I'd like to buy a bra for my wife." "What type of bra?" asked the clerk "Type?" inquires the man, "There's more than one type?" "Look around" said the saleslady, as she showed a sea of bras in every shape, size, color and material imaginable. "Actually, even with all of this variety, there are really only four types of bras to choose from." Relieved, the man asked about the types. The saleslady replied: "There are the Catholic, the Salvation Army, the Presbyterian, and the Baptist types. Which one would you prefer?" Now totally befuddled, the man asked about the differences between them. The Saleslady responded, "It is all really quite simple. . . The Catholic type supports the masses; The Salvation Army type lifts the fallen; The Presbyterian type keeps them staunch and upright; and The Baptist type makes mountains out of mole hills." *Then there's the agnostic bra - that may or may not exist

Dmmichgood, what passes for "conscious raising" is often code for "fashionable thinking." You're old enough to remember the good 'ol sixties? And the Beatles heading off to India to meet the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi? They were all into that conscious raising stuff." Sounds dated now.
And by the way. Look up this Yogi. With the bible it isn't academically honest just to show how similar the bible is to other religious books, but also to look at how it differs. There's some homework for you.
