According to the Gospel of Mark the Apostles WERE to preach to the Gentiles as well as the Jews and House of Israel.
Ch.16 vs's 14-16
"Afterward he appeared unto the ELEVEN as they sat at meatand upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was rise.
And he said unto THEM, Go ye into ALL THE WORLD, and preach the gospel to EVERY CREATURE.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."

Thanks Nathan. I got the impression the article's author was claiming they were only to go to the lost House of Israel amongst the Gentiles.

But the gospel of Mark clearly states that the remaining eleven diciples were to preach the gospel to EVERYONE throughout the world, NOT just the dispersed House of Israel and the Jews.

Thanks Nathan. My point was that the author of the article you provided was wrong at least on that point !

Many thanks Nathan. I'm glad you mentioned Peter. He (one of the 12) was given the keys to the Kingdom. It was He who unlocked the door to admit the Gentiles whereby they received the Holy Ghost. Now you see where the author of the article was wrong?

Do you agree that Peter held the keys to the Kingdom, ie the ability to open the door of the Holy Spirit to the Gentiles ?

Paul was the chief Apostle to the Gentiles. However, first and foremost Peter had to unlock the Holy Spirit unto the Gentiles. Mark makes it clear that the eleven disciples and the church were to go into the world to preach the gospel to every creature.

Agreed Nathan. Again, it is the interpretation by the author of the article you presented which I have trouble with. He's compiled this nearly 2000 years AFTER the Apostles realised the reality of their mission.
