God answered our prayers. We, as a group, prayed that God would lead us. He gave a vision to some in one of the teams of a train track and a water tower. They went and found a needy family. They are needy in many ways. Hungry for spiritual fellowship.
We are thrilled with God's immediate response to our prayers and for His leading. God is doing wonderful things. I can only begin to tell all that He is doing here in this community.

In my experience growing up going to meetings-- I was told/shown that we do not pray to God for "natural" or "worldly" things for ourselves or others. Having been shown quite a different example by Christians -- I have actually started to pray for everything -- involving God in every aspect of my life. I take a day each week and take my horses up into the mountains to ride -- which has become a time to worship God, reflect on Him and meditate if I am alone or a time to have some great conversations and fellowship with others that ride with me. I have had a few days where, starting out on a ride, the weather was not so great -- and I've prayed for good weather and within a few minutes, the wind dies down, the sun comes out and the weather has been glorious. I would have scoffed at that when I was going to meetings -- but having experienced answers to my "little" prayers several times now -- I can only glory in God and thank Him for answering me and increasing my faith. He has answered me in a very powerful way for some big prayers too -- like my prayer that He would show me His truth, and my prayer that He would bring my husband into a real relationship with Him. I find too --now that I pray about everything -- I am often put in situations where someone opens up to me -- and I can help them or they help me.
My prayer today is that the Holy Spirit will work MIGHTILY in all believers!

Please include Lynne Behrend and daughters Bonnita, Sarah and Lisa in your prayers. Lynne's husband Rob was tragically killed in an airplane crash on Wed 17 August.
This will be a very difficult time for the Behrends, so any support by way of prayers, thoughts or good vibes will be appreciated.
The Behrends live near Warwick, Qld Australia, having moved from Oregon in the early 90s.

My prayer today is that the Holy Spirit will work MIGHTILY in all believers! this summer we prayed for a safe car for our children and someone whom I had known 4 days GAVE us a Jeep. The Jeep needed tires. We prayed for them. One of the tires went flat getting on the interstate. I was following someone I had known only 3 or 4 days. They bought me FIVE new tires immediately. While waiting for the tires we had a wonderful spiritual discussion and I forgot about the tires. Yes, we have had prayers answered and they continue to be answered. We are richly blessed though we have nothing. Prayer works because our Heavenly Daddy cares about us.

I noticed there is not much activity on this thread at all. Does that mean no one believes in God answering prayer or does it mean everyones life is going great and no one is in need of prayer? Just wondering.

Just wondering. I'm always in need of prayer and am thankful for those who pray for me even if I don't ask. I'm also thankful for those who pray for me in a generalized way, such as for those who are grandparents, those who have loved ones out of fellowship, those who are met at conventions....

For an amazing story of answered prayers -- check out Facebook "Pray for Trey Gothard". This is my cousin who was in a car wreck. If you read the comments from the beginning -- it is so incredible the healing God wrought in Trey's life. He had a torn aorta, among many, many other injuries - and came from almost dying, then a coma, to being awake and speaking. He has a long ways to go, so prayers are appreciated for his continued recovery. But, there is SO much praise for our awesome God and all He is able to do!! www.facebook.com/pages/Pray-For-Trey-Gothard/145958712163768?ref=ts

Please pray for my close friends husband. He has lung and kidney cancer and was placed on hospice. My friend needs prayer for strength because she is the caregiver and its taking a toll on her. My husband and I have been sitting with her husband who we are also close friends with so she can go to the store at needed times and just to have a break.

I will certainly say a prayer for you. The physical ailments that we go through can certainly be depressing, and I can understand and empathize with you on that for sure. Likewise, the pain from our past can also be very emotionally draining in the here and now. Scott

I have a few scars on my neck from freezing skin tags.

I think it would be easier just to pray for them to go No kidding. Normally, I don't really spend the time on this topic of prayer requests. But, my warts gave me a second thought. Here's your chance, folks. Pray for my warts, make them go away, and I think I'd likely give you a lot more credence. andy

Pray for children everywhere that they will not be abused physically, emotionally or sexually. Pray for protection for them and that God will convict the perpetrator's heart of their sin against children. Thank you.
