I've had dreams that turned out to be prophetic, though at the time I had no clue as to their meaning.
I have also had dreams that hinted at a psychic connection with someone - seeing something through their eyes.
Is this Godly?

yea God speaks alot through dreams, just ask for them - or at least thats my experience. I"m still learning to interpret, but have a season dream interpreted friend who said the more you seek the more you find... the more you seek understanding to the dreams uv been given - then the more dreams you will recieve.
Mine often show me qualities to people that I don't notice, or show me things are going on behind the scenes... or sometimes the root of an issue.. sometimes they are warning, or to encourage me to pray for that person...
I love them.. its another exciting encounter/interaction with Abba!

hmmm...dont think some of the dreams I have are Godly or a prophesy You have to just pick the ones out of the bunch that you want to use or that, when looking back, fit some events that happen. Those dreams about finding yourself nude in front of the class on test day - well, just wait until they actually come to pass!

I suppose if you wrote down all of your dreams all of the time, published them and then waited for them to eventuate, you be lauded as a prophet, and would potentially profit from you propheteering. I guess.
The two occasions that spring to mind were real standouts though, so I mightn't have to record everything...
The dream I had regarding a suggestion of a psychic connection was interesting. I dreamt of a place I'd never been before and never heard of. I went to that place with my friend about 6 months later (I was visiting my friend - in the US, and my friend took me to the location), and it was exactly as in my dream. We then figured out that my friend had visited the place around the time I had the dream (unknown to me).

I suppose if you wrote down all of your dreams all of the time, published them and then waited for them to eventuate, you be lauded as a prophet, and would potentially profit from you propheteering. I guess. Not quite. If you wrote down your dreams and told what future event they were predicting and then is they came true you might be lauded as a prophet. For example, if I have a dream that I stubbed my toe then 8 years later I happen to remember when I stub my toe that I had that dream - it is not much of a prediction. This kind of thing suffers very much from sampling error. What a shame you had not recorded the dream prior to the visit. If it was a place you had never been nor heard of how do you know you were in the right place? The mind is quick. Look at some of the theories regarding déjà vu.
