Scott, If I am interpreting what you are interpreting, what otto2 was interpreting what, F&W's were interpreting, I may be interpreting all of this from a different or contrary perspective. The point is the word "interpreting". When we trust what God lays on our hearts, we need to search the scriptures for anything close and I don't feel that we can go astray on that point. When we listen to others, we need to realize that they may have received a wonderful Revelation, but in trying to pass that on, they just don't get it out right. How many times have we tried to explain something only to be criticized because we don't get it just right. I think that sometimes God reveals things to us and we only need to respond with action, not words and that is hard to "Miss-spell" , an action. I don't think I should try to explain any more on the subject as I am starting that journey that leads you into stress full thinking and walking in circles. Hopefully people will see the humor and simplicity in this, as no one can really explain doctrine. That is something we all need to experience. True, but very funny! It's kind of like looking back to see if you're looking back to see if I'm looking back to see if you're looking back at me! eh? ;D I think there's is a great change in the "rules" in some parts of the states and probably some other modern countries as well. I think some of the older workers begin to see that making the friends a spectacle before the world was not conducive to making for an attitude of love and reception...and too we have to be fair and credit the world for coming back to what is the average 'appearance" of a friend also...anything is ok in America these days...doesn't matter how one looks, dresses or behaves anymore!

yknot Hi After 45years out of F&W I cant beleive laptops are Ok especially for workers to have them. There is far worse things on the internet than any TV show I have watch. I select my programs and tape them so I can catch up with current affairs and documentories, some of which make one question ones beleifs and open ones mind to the purpose of life. maggsmagpie

And now basically every workers has one though there are some that don't agree with it and don't have them. It is somewhat ironic that they are ok but TV is not. You make a good point. It is far easier to get access to anything you could desire on the internet. But then humans rarely make rational decisions.

When personal computers first began to proliferate they were ostensibly for productive purposes. Word processing, spreadsheeting, etc. Mom could use it to run her home-based word processing business, or dad could use it to keep track of inventory and scheduling for his home-based air conditioning service company. And little Johnny could play Pong or PacMan on it, while developing dexterity and familiarity with the tool of the future. Nothing wrong with any of that.
Then BBS came along, and then Gopher and the World Wide Web and email. The rest is history. But by then it was too late for the church fathers to eradicate the devil - it was already a fixture in so many homes. But they could preach against the bad parts of the internet, and still keep their laptop for their correspondence purposes... and the occasional peek at a porn site! Just kidding. I'm sure no worker would ever visit an internet porn site.

A worker visiting internet porn sites would be purely accidental - search words like 'Adam and Eve', 'xxx-communication' (typo), 'pics of South American missionaries', 'missionary positions in other countries', etc.
