Shhh, don't tell Naggin' Nelly or Cautious Cora, but I have a little somethin' somethin' for ya there, Bob. Just slide on down here to the other end of the bar and I'll fix ya up. Sit back and relax 'cause the fun's about to begin.

1) MY name is not Cautious Cora, but Cowgal Cora.
2) "Naggin" Nelly is not the Sherrif's name. She is "Hardnose "Nelly.
3) Listen up fellow! We don't take to kindly to strangirs who don't abide by our laws or don't show respect to us womanfolks.
4) We are issuing you a ticket for promoting the unsanitary practice of allowing your customers to "slide down the bar". You never know what the "customers' have been sitting in it.
Sincerely
Sherriff Nellie and Cowgal Cora

I'm tying on my apron and turning on the music (I dance when I play in the kitchen.) Maybe we should call this thread the potluck thread instead of the tea and scones thread. Thanks for starting the debate, dietcoke. Nice opening. Scott, I'm making cinnamon rolls this time. freespirit

BTW, DC excellent opening. I have read most of it, will finish later. I really do appreciate the time you put into this (and the last debaters as well.) It must take quite a while to get it all organized in your head and then out on here.
Also to Rob: TOO FUNNY the esmacked with a wet enoodle, etc etc....omgosh I laughed so hard...thanks, I needed that!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Well done on your opening Dietcoke! This is a topic that I've never really thought about much - and just from seeing when this debate was just first being discussed and in the "possible" stages it intrigued me! I'm looking forward to seeing both sides presented I've bought in a few little nibblies... thought some might like a sugar rush with some chocolate muffins and a choc mars-bar slice ;D Could we perhaps swap a muffin for a cinnamon roll? Vianne.

Well done, starwelters. I liked the tax collector comment. Forget these barbarians, don't hesitate to use Greek. Isaiah 40:3 is an excellent point. The word Lord there is YHWH and 'God' is Elohim. One question, though. Where does Jesus "assume [or claim] omnipresence" specifically?

Matt 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. I am with you means that is he with many people. always means for all time. But omnipresent means present everywhere, in all space.

it seems to be logical ? that in order to have fellowship, we need more than one being, but then ..
in order to have sweet fellowship, we look for unity (oneness) of spirit.
Is this too illogical, or how do we resolve the issue of having oneness, and yet being more than one, hmmm?
