A little off subject but ...
There was talk of JF at some Philippine conventions, even some pictures on TMB, last spring.
It is not uncommon for families to eat ‘dog’ in that country. A Filipino friend mentioned to me a few years ago that her mother died of rabies from eating a rabid dog when she lived there.
I wonder if JF had any ‘dog’ meat at convention?

Greg H. is a overseer, with a head overseer. JF put him in the position when he took him from Mi. to Ky. But forsay, Greg is not the controller. JF would not leave Mi. willing because, yes he would lose his clout, but he also travels constantly between Ky . and Mi. which is convenient for him. But, the spirit a person has follows them, so if the spirit is wrong, they will find the same situation as in Mi. It isn't because he was from Mi., he only became the way he is when he became overseer with power and control. That personality follows you where you go. The control must be removed and a person humbled before that could be removed and lets see, he went through the system, he payed his dues, now he deserves the power. He also controls the money situation in two states. Now cut off someones power of the money and you have a mad man. So, who would want that person to control their state? Besides, do away with the overseer position and now you are talking. Get back to serving God, now you are talking. Quit influencing others to show evil spirits. When the overseer is worshipped, and don't even tell me that isn't true, then you have made a monster. Now, how do you take the monster out of the man?? So JF is overseer over two states now? has been for 10 yrs now.

But it is my understanding that the mtg. place in question had NOTHING to do with what has happened except by blood relation?I was making a comment in general. I'm sure that there are conflicting reports concerning the issues in Michigan. IF the overseer felt there was a need to remove the meeting from the home in Michigan due to legal issues, and then later it was found that there were no legal issues, the meeting should have been reinstated. Just my opinion of course. Scott As you are very aware I did call you and told you the case for the family was over, save for the twins (older ones). I also mentioned that there was a ninety day period. To see how things were going, because of further actuations. Things were going quite well and the case was and is closed. Even then some were and are still spreading rumours.

Jerome wouldn't eat a cat, I can tell you that. HE HATES CATS! Eat what is set before and make no remarks! A quote my Gram always told us when we didn't like what was set before us...I believed her until the restaurant inspectors shut down an oriental restaurant locally. They found a dog carcase in the refrigerator in the restaurant! The owner told the inspectors that they had NEVER served dog meat to anyone except their own people who came in and would ask for it specifically! I wasn't really sure I could trust that story...so I'm quite goosey when I eat in oriental restaurants anymore. The same is apt to go with overseas meals whereever they may well be served and the "visitors" might not really know what was served!

I believe one of the best antidotes to this mess is to: (A) Have JF apologise/clear this mess up in the gospel mtgs at varies locations that way all can hear and there can be no misunderstandings. No he said she said they said deal. b) Have JF moved to another state and bring in another with wisdom and understanding. c) Reinstall removed mtg, till they pass away and have a bishop in his seventies with wisdom to take the mtg’s, or help out. d) Those that are exalted be abased and those that are abased be exalted this includes removable of some meetings and relocated. e) At lest 90% of cost should be paid to the family by the head worker and those that came against the family. This is being very fair and should promote 75-89% healing maybe 90%. About 10% will remain dissatisfied for a period of time.

And............can someone explain the infraction this elderly couple did to warrant the removal of meeting from their home? I think the majority of us can not fathom the infraction that supposedly happened! I heard that JF has said he'd listened to some he shouldn't have listened to, but he hasn't set forth to do away with the results of that listening to the wrong people! I agree, seems it would serve the whole state best if another overseer who has NO idea about anything that's occurred there(that'll be hard to find) and has no preconceived notions of who is who and set to stay that way!

I believe one of the best antidotes to this mess is to: Those of us that have only heard about this story on the internet have not heard anything from the 'other side' and it's not fair for us to judge anyone based on only hearing one side. There must be two sides to every story.

Sending JF to another state does not change a person heart or spirit. If you did wrong in one state, you will do wrong in another state. If you want control in Mi. it will be the same in another state. After the fiasco in one state, do you think it is needed in another state? Sometimes people need to humble themselves and step down for what ever reason they can come up to appease themselves. Blame it on listening to the wrong people. At this point who cares. There are matters that have never been addressed in Mi. because it appears it was swept under the rug, so things wouldn't look bad. JF is skating from responsiblities for more than one thing. So, now that is something no one needs. Perhaps send the great position known as overseer to Cuba. Let God do the ruling and guiding. Let it be his system. He is the only one that can clear up this mess and many will have some answering to do. The family will be forever hurt from this, and believe me, those who wanted to hurt, continue on this very day, so no matter what is done their spirits are shown and there is no miracle for that except from God. And if you were dealing with God, I believe you would have a loving caring spirit. So, you can't expect change from those not under Gods command. I believe cat might be a treat after a whiplashing from the one above.

It's sad that within most any society of people, one can almost be sure there are at least one or more people who have NO idea what self-righteousness can do to others. There is NO place in a child of God for self-righteousness, for that's the very opposite of the humility that should be found in said child of God. I shudder to think of the rewards that await those of us who are so insensitive and so uncaring to others in their pain and even more for those of us who cause others untold pain and suffering. Yes, God is so righteous as not to forget those of His very own who have suffered untold pain, tribulation...."Vengence is mine, saith the Lord." Frightening isn't it?

Thanks jmjhr for sharing with us. These details need to be expressed over and over until someone finally GETS IT!!! We don't need to continue to sweep these type of things under the rug so the HEAD can continue to do as he pleases which would be Jerome. And yes, his influence continues in KY. The elderly people that he continues to bring discouragement to is appalling.

I used to get my feelings hurt because I never got visits from workers until spec. mtg. rounds! But after being on TMB this long and reading maybe it's a blessing instead! Either the workers feel confident in me or they just don't like to be around me? But does it really matter what they think? No! God is my righteous Judge and I don't want to forget it. Without frequent worker visits there is no chance of even a subtle "effect" on what I may do or not do! That leaves all the responsibility of what I do, mine! Thank God!

oh yeah fs, go Wed & Sun night meetings.....must go. At the time we lived some way from the meeting on a bad road, had three small children and I was basically working two jobs.
Not to mention we never missed a Sunday morning meeting.
However (this is probably the crunch), we never contributed financially during these visits. We preferred to send overseas to the needs in other lands.

Well at least you weren't being controlled by what you did and where you went and when you did it. Or maybe they figured you were smart enough not be controlled, so why waste a good visit on someone like that. It is sad when the people that get the visits are those that have the best of things. Good food, good beds and large purse. So I guess if you don't give those things then you won't be having any visits. My grandfather had meeting in his home for many many years. He was not rich, nothing fancy, lots of kids and a open home for meeting. Those were the days of old. Either it was well hid or a lot of people just blind, because you took the workers where they wanted to go. No big Lincolns. Sam Charleton use to say, sometimes you might have a 20 and sometimes you had nothing. But you no worries, you were taken care of. And they seemed to appreciate it too. Not today. The workers drive a car given to them and paid for by a member. You have lap tops, cell phones, many only wear expensive suits, they say they last longer, travel all over by plane and don't really even have much missions. They stay for periods of time in their comfort zone, homes that cater to them. Do believe money has made a big difference and that is where the greed, arrogance and deceit comes from. Perhaps that is what is preached in the bible, money is the root of all evil. Because we sure are seeing evil.

If people of the faith were not intimated by the overseer, how many would ask for things to change? How many in the faith does the overseer control? We'll never know because they will be to intimated to answer. A BIG fact, God is your judge and he is not into intimitation, just love and help. So, those that want God as their controller, please stand up and state your position!

I just read this, and you don't want to send Jeff Thayer to Michigan. He is doing a bang up job in Iowa, and may soon be another JF.
