Hey!! Sorry, I've been busy and missed a few pages of conversation, but did anyone end up working out how it is that WI gets credited as a founder, or is that still a mystery?Yep we got it all figured out todd. You just need to read through the threads and you will understand! For anybody that is interested, we have a new baby boy (about a week ago), hence the reason for having a look at TMB... sitting up in the still of the night with a baby that is wide awake somehow makes TMB exciting in comparison. Congratulations!! Did you name him Willie? ;D Hope all is well with your wife and new son. Nothing like a baby to let you know what your sleep schedule is suppose to be.... Scott

You just need to read through the threads and you will understand! I couldn't find anything real. It was just stuff that didn't make sense. It was like saying... the moon is full of craters because steam engines are an uncommon method of powering a motorcycle. Not really relevant, but if you have a very creative writer you could make it seem like that was the reason Thank you!!! No... but he has one Yes they are both doing well thanks. If I ever get grumpy, you'll know why

As commented on in the "Grace vs Legalism" thread, it was to be expected that Ilylo would again commence posting in the manner he does. I would encourage you Todd to not engage.

He's probably speaking from experience. In the case of the workers rejecting the evengelistic work of the friends, since they have done it over and over in the past, it doesn't take much guessing to know what they would do in the future. There was the overseer and his young companion having gospel mtgs. in a fairly large city...and it wasn't too far from an Indian reservation. One of the friends lived close to the reservation and was neighbor to many Indians....a young native had told this older friend that IF his ministers were ever in the area and had any of those meetins' that he'd love to go, he wanted to learn about Jesus, our Saviour. Well, this friend invited the young native to go with him to the workers' gospel meetings. The young native went with him about a half dozen meetings and in NONE of those meetings did either the overseer NOR his young companion speak of Jesus....not one time! To say the least, the young native told the friend, "I thought you said they had 'gospel mtgs.'! How in this world can they have a 'gospel mtg.' and not mentioned who the gospel is about?" The friend was astounded at the understanding of the young native. The young native never went another time and this friend and another friend asked the workers if it would be reccommendable to go and have bible studies with this young man....'NO, YOU MUST NOT! It isn't the place of the friends to be doing bible studies with outsiders!" So in the long run, both of those men and they'd both served as elders in the mtgs. in their area...are NO longer in the fellowship! Because there was NO Christ preached in the GOSPEL mtgs. by the workers and before those who plainly said they wanted to hear the gospel! There's other such reasons, but that is perhaps the most offensive reason! Do you think that is God's Will that NO gospel message is preached at all, esp. in a gospel meeting. Why have gospel meetings then?

Please tell us where this happened and if that worker (either one) is still preaching. I have never bgeen to half a dozen gospel meetings where Jesus was not spoken about - "not one time." (Was the fact that it was a Native important to the story?)

Well, the workers don't talk about Jesus much. Mostly about the way they go out two by two and stuff like that. But, Jesus himself went out one by one or with a dozen disciples. So there were then 13 of them (oddly the same amount as a coven of witches). Anyway, the workers should go out 13 by 13 then as Jesus did and not worry about the 2x2 thing. Founder? What founder? This way went all the way back to Jesus and he had no founder did he? It was just discovered back in the 1890's after being hidden from everyone for hundred and hundreds of years. No one knew the true way before that.
So, they all had to die in sin and will be in hell for not having heard from any workers. Too bad for them. Also we still have a lot of places where there are no workers even today. These people will also have to go to hell for not having heard them. It is because they do not have honest hearts and minds so that God has not sent them any workers yet. Kind of rough for them since they never got to hear the Truth huh? Well, all we can do is just fork over all our money and properties and whatever else we can afford and see if we can get some workers over to see them and save them from hell. Such a shame and it is all our faults for not giving our all and getting workers out there to see them and find out if they have honest hearts and can accept the message of not having any founder and whatever. Well, I am so ashamed and not worthy and can't believe that I didn't do all that I could to help save a ministry that God was supposed to support. I guess God does not have much money and needs all we can give for some reason. So, my cell phone company has a lot in common with God and would also like for me to give my all to them. Also, the landlord is kind of like a minister and also wants to have my all. Wowee! Everyone wants my all to be given to them. Maybe they are all messengers from God. Who knew. Anyway, I am hoping to go to heaven and so I would like to buy "everlasting life" insurance but can't afford the payments right now. I have thought about bankruptcy so I can just tell God that I am sorry I could not pay for the insurance and maybe he will let me in anyway. Otherwise, I might just try to sue God for mistakes he has made in the weather around my area and for causing fires in the mountains with his lightning and waking me up with his thunder and stuff. It is not my fault and God caused it so I guess he owes me at least a place in heaven for the damages. We could make it a class action suit if other people have had problems with God doing damage to their property or keeping them awake at night with thunder and stuff like that. Then, we can all get into heaven for free or he can pay us for the damages with little chunks taken out of the streets of gold or whatever.

Oh but Ilyo is so fun to tease... sometimes all you have to do is spell his name wrong I have a little bit of pity for how timid he is too, and being scared of us nasty people who might come and throw frogs with rocks tied to their legs, on his roof, if we found out where he lived. Honestly, we aren't going to do that, but some people get scared of the weirdest things.

I hadn't noticed he was gone having been gone myself. What a pity for him that he has turned up back here right when one of the nastiest people around returns also. I will try to be kind and show an understanding spirit even though he does tempt me to have a bit of fun sometimes. Anyway, he has quick wit and dry humor I guess.

Workers give up a home of their own, spouse, family, career, etc and assume this is the only way to bring people to Christ. Luke 11:52 "Woe to you experts in the law, because you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering."

So true....didn't Jesus say they looked the world over to make a proselyte...etc.? Anyway, Emy asked why the Native was important....seemed very important considering the Native Americans have had their own God for centuries, but to want to hear about "the white man's Jesus" really means a whole lot..... When someone specifically states they want to hear about Jesus then I'm sure it is very disappointing to not do so in a place one would expect to hear about Jesus! Esp. when a very good friend has told you that's what is spoken about! The lack of telling about Jesus even in ONE mtg. made the friend out a liar before the Native American! And that isn't something anyone should do, for once a Native American loses trust it is hard to regain their trust.....and this hurt thost two elder friends very much in about every way.

I think it is no more egregious to lose a Native American's trust than to lose the trust of a Hindu, Shintu, Bhuddist, or Southern Baptist.

You're right intonation is really difficult on the web. I see how you meant that now. We need more smileys - one for self-deprecation.
