What is joy and how does it differ from pleasure and happiness? What things have made you experience inexplicable joy, natural and spiritual things?
Izzi wrote some interesting differences between happiness and pleasure on another post. How does joy exceed these?

Happiness and pleasure depend on circumstances - when the circumstances change so dissipates the happiness.
Joy is much deeper and is steady because of our trust in Him - not circumstances.

Spiritual Joy is being lifted beyond reason above the daily labor and toil to receive the healing that liberates. Joy is being forgiven for sins and human weakness and knowing they will not be held against you again, ever. Joy is sharing.
Natural joy is flying downhill on a bicycle, ski-ing down a snowclad slope, or watching your child take his forst step!

There is a fine line between intense love and hatred. There is a similar fine line between intense joy and sorrow.
It seems they are related, intermingled in a person's experience.
Can you experience one without sometime having passed through the other?

As a hymn says they are interwoven. Joy and sorrow complement each other. Cannot be isolated.

Joy is when your worship makes you sing out loud, and dance for the wonder of Jesus being with us.
Joy is the reward for bearing pain and sorrow.

Joy is finding a soul mate hearing your baby's first cry birdsong watching the sun rise over the place where you are feeling thankful for all that has been given diving into clear, clean, cool water on a hot day finding something dear to you that has been lost joy is all these things in a spiritual context

MAny things bring us joy but I have discovered the joy of working with 3rd world people and helping them is entirely different it is like an essence deep in the heart that bursts the walls and has a fragrance compared to none which lasts until the next Godly surprise which reveals another measure of joy at the same time my heart gets broken on a compassionate level I cant describe. Like this week when a mother passed away aged 32 and some of the children Ive been helping for 2yrs belong to her. I felt so relieved that the children are not totally alone. The support system was already in place due to the leading of the holy spirit.
