There are so many negative views, what are the positive reasons for being a member of the Truth Church?

Apart from all the stories peddled about apostolic succession, LWD etc., the other reasons must include the fellowship with other like-minded people, that one's social circle is usually almost entirely confined to the group and often one's family is part of the group. Truth to be told, it's probably easier to stay than to leave.

That there were no positive responses to the original poster question doesn't imply that there are no positive reasons, perhaps more that the question was asked in the wrong forum, or of the wrong group of people.
Seems to me that there are few representative 2x2 posters in this forum, (those claiming membership are hardly typical in my experience), so this isn't the best place to get an answer. Not getting an answer doesn't mean there are no positive reasons.

Geoff, I can think of good (positive) reasons for remaining in the group, but in the main these are appropriate for those who have not been, or are likely to be, affected by the control or cultic influences of the group. I include you in this !
I can think of good (negative) reasons for others to remain in the group. By this I mean it would likely be more harmful (or traumatic as another poster mentioned) for these persons to leave the group (e.g. elderly, or not ready etc).
I believe some level-headed exes could offer very good positive reasons for remaining in the group, much moreso than many persons within the group, because their reasons are likely to be far less tainted by only wayism etc.
The past history of the group has shown its mindset and only way belief system has been detrimental to the spiritual and natural well-being of many of its members because of their compliancy, sensitivity, eagerness to please, submissiveness and willingness to defer to the workers and friends. I consider myself as falling into this category.

There are so many negative views, what are the positive reasons for being a member of the Truth Church? The way your question is worded makes little sense to someone of our fellowship. Assuming your sir name is Toffeecrumble; -- Mr. Toffeecrumble, what are the positive reasons for being a member of the Toffeecrumble family?" You see sir, it makes little sense to extol some benefit of being a Toffeecrumble versus being a Coffeetrumble. It would be just taken as boasting. If you really want to know, attend a series of Gospel meetings in your area.

Wise up, Mr. Ronhall. Many of us have been there, done that! The question is appropriate and clear. For a fair balance it would be good to hear what keeps people in a group where a large percentage of their own members frequently, in the after meeting, voice so much dissent yet continue to adhere.
We could all learn something by sincere responses, M. Ronhall.

Rather than seeking reasons to "stay in", it might be equally appropriate to find reasons not to for any individual. Some have discovered those reasons that apply to themselves, and they act on them. For others there have been no motivators to leave of sufficient import to act on.

Yea but you would say that Of course I would call nonsense for what it is. Much like the nonsense that you post. Not to get redundant or anything, but that's nonsense, too. Please, please, please, respond with more nonsense. It's so you.

PS I adore toffeecrumble! I'm not sure what toffeecrumble is, neither do I know what coffeetrumble is. But I respect your opinion and I may share your opinion if I knew more about toffeecrumble. Perhaps if I could be introduced to toffeecrumble and learn all about its benefits in a "Toffeecrumble Good News" meeting, then also meet you and others who adore it, I would learn to adore it also. Are there any Toffeecrumble Good News meetings in my area?
