I came across this video today. Although I do not usually like children's choirs (youthful sentimentality often used as a substitute for quality), this is a very good rendition of Andrew Lloyd-Weber's Pie Jesu. As a very young boy, I grew up listening to Pie Jesu among other Roman Catholic prayers, and, later when at college, I passed many an evening with the windows open to the summer breeze (no flyscreens), watching the sunset and the stars, reading and listening to this et al. The peacefulness of it perhaps stays with me. In any case, for me, it tends to convey rest in Jesus, in a frightful world.
Pie Jesu (Kindly Jesus) Qui tollis peccata mundi (Who takes away the sins of the world) Dona eis requiem (Grant them rest) Sempiternam (Everlasting)
Peace to all who abide in the Lord.

Thanks Jason. Pie Jesu is beautiful.
I enjoy The Priests.
I purchased their first album when it came out and sometimes sit and listen to Pie Jesu over and over. I first heard it on this album but I too appreciate the peace and rest it conveys.
'Grant them everlasting rest'. Our single deepest desire, found only in Christ.

Thanks Jason. Pie Jesu is beautiful. I enjoy The Priests. The Priests ... ;D I have 30 year-old memories of listening to a not-yet-ordained David Delargy singing Patricia the Stripper with 2 of his family/friends at an informal social gathering. His voice startled us but so also did the chorus
