His argument rests mainly on being isolated at school. If you had a school with a high composition of JWs, this would not be a problem. Do feel sorry if you are the only JW kid in town.

I wonder what people think of this video. I only watched 5 minutes but you get the idea from that. It makes me think that we live in a "culture of complaint". The things he mentions about being a kid among the JWs are real enough. But what about the fact his parents worked to keep a roof overhead, in all likelihood gave him a safe and loving home environment, nutritious meals and a warm and clean bed every night, and provided an education and other amenities. Don't those count for something. And as a young adult he had the freedom to turn his back on his religion, and try and do things his own way. Not such a hard life if you ask me. The fact is that I was brought up in a highly conservative Protestant home, and had a similar upbringing to this kid, except we were also poor, and I wouldn't dream of complaining about it. There are many things I look back on with a great deal of fondness.
